My aim when I opened Kennadys 20 years ago was to offer a London style salon in the heart of Ingatestone and to consistently exceed our client’s expectations, something I feel we have achieved.

Working with my team is the part of my role I love the most, watching each member grow and develop. Whether I am working with the management team, the stylist team or the assistant team, I strive to create the perfect environment for them to learn and encourage them to take up every opportunity that comes their way.

Having just stepped back into training, what gives me the greatest satisfaction is seeing an assistant’s eyes light up when they have learnt, understood and executed a haircut or colour technique. It is the most rewarding part of the hairdressing industry.

I am grateful to my many loyal clients who have put their trust in me to look after their hair, my team for choosing Kennadys as their preferred salon in which to develop their career and my bank manager for supporting us through two salon moves and four refits!

As for the future, I intend to remain true to my original aim as well as to work with exciting new technology and social media to keep all our clients informed of the latest trends in hairdressing.
